Lummerland

The exclusive house LUMMERLAND is located in the middle of Keitum. It belongs to an estate of almost 3,000 m² with tall old trees. At that time, still under Danish sovereignty, the Royal Customs House and a small stable building were built in the middle of Keitum. In the mid-1990s, both buildings were lovingly restored in cooperation with the monument conservation authorities and supplemented by a new house matching the ensemble, the so-called LUMMERLAND. The 214 m² brick house offers space for a maximum of nine people and has the typical Sylt terp floor in the basement, a ground floor and an attic. The focal point is the elongated hallway – laid out with limestone so that even sandy children’s feet are no problem. From there you enter the kitchen with a long, old table that can seat more than 10 people and the living area with a cosy fireplace, writing desk and reading corner. A wooden staircase at the end of the hallway leads to the attic with its three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a cosy reading corner in the gable. In the basement there are two more bedrooms with romantic four-poster beds, a bathroom and a Finnish sauna with shower bath. In addition, there is a large utility room with washing machine and dryer, an ironing corner and a separate exit – wide enough for surfboards, bicycles and ideal for late returns. The spacious, 800 m² garden invites you to relax and sunbathe.
